Celeste graduated with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Ottawa. She began her Masters in Human Kinetics in 2020. Her thesis topic explores food insecurity and local food development in remote Indigenous communities in northern Ontario. Celeste has done fieldwork in both Kasabonika Lake First Nation (Oji-Cree) and Moose Cree First Nation (Cree). She looks forward to completing her thesis with the support of her supervisor Dr. Michael Robidoux, and her committee members Dr. Courtney Mason and Dr. François Haman.
